For the first time, I am going to prepare and roll-out a live online tutorial for undergraduate / postgraduate students enrolled on various healthcare courses (e.g. pharmacy, medicine, dentistry and nursing).

My first online tutorial will consider academic writing skills that can be applied to boost the mark of submitted work, for example scientific write-ups or audit-based projects. The impact on understanding may enable a potential move across grade boundaries (i.e. 2.2 to 2.1 classification).

I will hold the session on the morning of Saturday 23rd January 2021 at 11am for a period of 40 minutes. The cost of the session will be £10 per student.

During the tutorial, I will deconstruct an agreed marking rubric from a respected Higher Education institution within the United Kingdom and explain how to maximise marks for the work. The session will be open to 5 people on a first come, first served basis.

The content will be applicable to healthcare degrees across the board, so it does not matter what the area of study is. Indeed, it will be more interesting to meet a mix of people from different disciplines on the day.
