Once again, I have received some great feedback from a new client who would like to return to the GPhC register following some time away overseas.
This is not necessarily an area that I specialise in. However, I agreed to meet via ‘Google Meet’ to see if I could help. On discussion, it was clear to me that I could apply my extensive background in the fields of community, hospital, primary care, industrial and academic pharmacy to help this individual; experience now spanning a total of 24 years!
My breadth of knowledge can most certainly be applied to support the wishes of my new client, along with others. Key aspects relating to returning to the register revolve around current GPhC Standards (i.e. the ‘9’) plus ensuring safe and effective practice once back on the current GPhC register. It is all about supporting the individual in a bespoke manner to allow them to achieve what they want to achieve.
Here is what my client had to say:
“Great session with Mike today. Thanks to his broad professional experience, he's able to understand the variety of roles that pharmacists can perform. It was refreshing to have someone listen and appreciate my experiences and provide tailored and constructive commentary on where I should be heading next. Looking forward to our next call.”
