AstraZeneca Medical Educator, Respiratory Medicine, North West England - Close of Role

I have just resigned from my full time role as AstraZeneca Medical Educator for Respiratory Medicine in the North West region of the United Kingdom.

I was unable to state that this was my primary role due to contractual obligations, also I was restricted from posting medically related material on my website.

I was in post for one year at AstraZeneca (i.e. Feb 2022 - Feb 2023).

I am currently available for hire to any Pharma company for ‘consultation’ to deliver / teach any kind of medically related information to primary / secondary care practitioners. This can be on a contracted or ad hoc basis.

In the role, I was responsible for:

  • Developing / reviewing cutting-edge medically related slide decks

  • Delivering Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) science stories plus data decks

  • Explaining about the Trixeo pMDI device and related formulation parameters

  • Responding to Healthcare Professional (HCPs) queries, such as spacer or compliance aid use

  • Training HCPs to deliver key business messages (i.e. Guest Speaker GPs to deliver the COPD science story)

  • Outlining how business strategy can be aligned to NHS budget priorities (i.e. the NHS IIF / DES)

  • Contacting my extensive list of HCPs for Speaker Meeting execution or review service delivery

  • Representing AstraZeneca at external meetings such as GM-STARRs and PCRS 2022

My next move in life will be to find and secure a role that is much more focused on my core interests of healthcare provision (i.e. Pharmacy Locum Services) or Medical Education (e.g. teaching / lecturing). Happy to support others from a Medical Affairs perspective, also.

It feels good to finally release this information at www.pharmascholar.co.uk !
